This module will give participants an understanding of the importance of dealing with paradox and how this results in better decision-making and improved critical thinking. Participants will be equipped with the tools and techniques for mastering agility and dealing with paradox.
On completion of this module leaders will:
Understand and explain what dealing with paradox is, and the differences between paradoxes, problems, dilemmas, and polarities
Understand the benefits of dealing with paradox and the business case for dealing with paradox
Link dealing with paradox to other critical leadership behaviours - balance conflicting perspectives and be more comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity
Understand the neuroscience of paradoxical thinking
Assess and understand your ability to deal with paradox – Are you a paradox navigator?
Identify barriers and inhibitors to dealing with paradox
Apply practices to deal with paradox
